This page is dedicated to GDW's
colonial-era miniatures rules, Soldier's
Companion.
Soldier's Companion
was
published in 1989 as part of GDW's Space:1889 setting, and included a complete set of historical
miniatures rules as well
as rules covering aerial flyers, steam-powered land juggernauts, combat tripods,
and
more Victorian Science Fiction fun.
Sadly, Soldier's Companion was
published with only two (rather simple)
scenarios. Generation of more scenarios was left as an exercise for the reader.
Over
the years, several players have cooked up their own scenarios, some of which are
reproduced here, along with rules expansions.
