The Victorian Age was noted for its
optimistic outlook. New worlds were opening up on Earth and
throughout the Solar System. Civilization and technology were on
the march. Yet, there was a
darker side to the age. Anarchists and doomsday cults plotted in
the shadows. Evil things dwelt in the shadows awaiting an
opportunity to destroy civilization.
