Converting Space 1889 Characters to the House Rules System can be a roundabout process.  Thanks to Marcus L. Rowland's "Cthulhu: 1889" (Challenge 43) it is possible to convert characters first to the Call of Cthulhu system, and then into the House Rules System.

Attributes
Using the rules in "Cthulhu: 1889" and the 3D6 to 2D6-1 Die Roll Conversion, the conversion of Space 1889 attributes to their House Rules equivalents is fairly straightforward:

Space 1889 House Rules System
Strength Strength
Agility Agility
Endurance Constitution
Intellect Intelligence
Charisma Charisma
Social Level Social Standing

Multiply the Space 1889 attribute by two and add six to get the Call of Cthulhu attribute, then use the 3D6 to 2D6-1 Die Roll Conversion to determine the House Rules value.  The Conversion for each of the above is as follows:

Space 1889 Call of Cthulhu House Rules
1 8 4
2 10 5
3 12 7
4 14 9
5 16 10
6 18 11

Education is handled somewhat differently.  Take the Space 1889 Social Level and multiply it by two and add the character's Space 1889 Intellect score.  This gives the character's Education level in Call of Cthulhu terms.  Then use the 3D6 to 2D6-1 Die Roll Conversion to determine the House Rules value.
