Description
The modern version
of the ubiquitous
AK-47, it is perhaps the most widely-used
military small arm in the world, and is very popular
despite its underpowered and unstable cartridge.
Replaced in front-line service by the
AK-74, many
AKMs were re-chambered to fire 5.45 Bloc ammunition
(designated AKMR for AKM re-chambered). Thus, true
AKMs are mostly found in use by militia units. |
