Description
Horse pistols are
so-named because they were designed to be used by
cavalry mounted on horseback, each soldier carrying
two pistols in a pair of holsters attached to the
saddle. These weapons were designed for close-in
combat in a swirling cavalry melee, and the range
reflects this fact. |
