Description
Cinematic Zombies are created by
a virus that brings the dead back to life. A living person
bitten by a Cinematic Zombie will turn into a Cinematic Zombie in
Constitution - 1D6 hours. If the Cinematic Zombie scores a
hit, the victim must roll a Difficult: Agility task or be bitten.
Cinematic Zombies crave brains,
especially human brains. Brains keep the zombie from
deteriorating. Denied access to brains the average Cinematic
Zombie will "die" within 1D6 weeks. Some Cinematic
Zombies can make do with any flesh, as long as it was alive when
they attacked it.
Cinematic Zombies can only be
"killed" by being shot in the head (one level of difficulty higher,
and the character must spend one action aiming). Leg hits slow
the Cinematic Zombie down. Arm hits reduce the ability of the
Cinematic Zombie to do damage. Chest hits have no effect.
Unless the shot that reduces the Cinematic Zombie to zero is to the
head, the Cinematic Zombie continues to attack.
Cinematic Zombies inevitably lead
to a
Zombie Apocalypse.
Fast Zombies:
Most zombies shamble around at no faster than walking speed.
However, referees might want to introduce fast zombies who are able
to trot or run toward their prey. These zombies are harder to
beat as they can close the distance to their targets before those
targets are able to kill them all off. Fast zombies should be
used sparingly, and then only in campaigns in which the players are
very-heavily armed with automatic weapons.
