This skill reflects a general
knowledge of the physical functions of living creatures. The individual
understands the structure, functioning, growth, evolution, and
distribution of terrestrial-type organisms. This skill can be used to
know where to look for life on a new world, how to keep captive
populations of living things alive, and how to introduce a form of life
into a new environment. This skill allows sufficient knowledge of
genetics for controlled breeding, but not for genetic engineering.
